Regional Sales Manager (Food, Convenience & Vending Op)

Position purpose:

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing, coaching and mentoring his/her team in order to achieve the goals for the correspondent accounts under his/her responsibility.

He will be responsible for growing JTI sales & share of market of a portfolio of JTI centrally organized customers such as Vending Operators (partners) and other Key Accounts within Convenience, Food by negotiating trading & visibility agreements, evaluating and optimizing investment strategies within these key customers and ensuring positive ROI is achieved. The Regional Sales manager is responsible for managing and controlling the Team’s trade related costs, reviewing the KA Allowances budget (bottom up) for ASP planning and monitoring. He/she will also leverage all relevant internal and external resources in order to achieve agreed objectives following a defined Category Management approach adapted to suit customer and JTI requirements: sector specialization will require specific channel strategies and plans to be created, agreed and implemented to a high standard coordinated by the Regional Sales Manager. He/ She will work closely with reporting KAMs and Vending Operation Managers to maximize co-ordination and effectiveness of the CI sales and marketing plans.

He will effectively manage reporting KAMs and Vending Operation Managers, implement and agree training, conducting regular team meetings and co-ordination with other departments and operate cross-functionally to meet his/her business objectives.

He will work closely together with the other Sales Managers in order to check, follow up implementations on the channels he is responsible of. Manages more than 50% of the volume of CI under the channels of his /her responsibility.

What will you do – responsibilities:

  • Mentoring and Coaching the Team : Work in close collaboration with his/her team & the other Sales Managers to ensure alignment, integrated activities and timely target achievement through the most efficient & effective utilization of manpower, cycle materials & allocated budgets. Achieve set KPI’s
  • The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible of what the Key Account Manager (KAM) and Vending Operator Mangers meet JTI standards in their customers employing a robust, structured process and existing internal tools in order to lead the accounts from customer prioritization to customer strategy to evaluation.
  • Propose tailors activities based on key customers principles & financial understanding across total store. A KAM & Vending Operator Mangers will be able to give and explain a forecast of each account for KPI relative to designated and agreed KPIs and SMART objectives utilizing: Plan Account, prioritization of accounts and yearly customer review
  • The Regional Sales Manager must ensure that KAM & Vending Operator Mangers will negotiate trading agreements with accounts and manage relevant budgets efficiently and effectively, initiating, negotiating and actioning account specific action plans as agreed in the Plan Account. Negotiation will be in line with JTI local and global strategy
  • The Regional Sales Manager has to ensure that the KAM & Vending Operator Managers will be responsible for the effective monitoring and evaluation of the trading agreement implementation (Trading agreements), as well as the correspondent payments regarding com The responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager will be that KAM & Vending Operating Manger will build and develop positive trading relationships with allocated accounts and initiate and develop internal and external cross functional relationships. He /she will specifically lead creation and management of the cross functional category management team including: Strategic Insight, Business Analysis, Trade Marketing, Operational Planning, Brands, Finance and Legal to understand commercial/financial customer’s needs.

Who are we looking for – requirements:

  • University degree ( Finance, Business, Engineering) and Masters (MBA/MSC)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in FMCG sales, ideally tobacco Industry.
